I'm watching the course "Hands-on with SCCM". Are there instructions for setting up the servers in Hyper-V? Adam starts the first episode in a server that has already been built in Hyper-V and I don't know the best way to do this.

Hyper-V Setup for course "Hands-on with SCCM"

Hyper-V is integrated in Windows 10 Pro, Enterprise and Education or the server versions. It is a Windows 10 feature, just add it to your Windows.
Hyper-V will NOT work with Win 10 Home, you can use and install VMware.

@l-v-spendlove , glad that you are watching the show, and looking to build out your own environment using Hyper-V... Very exciting and a great way to follow along with me as you go through the show... !!
So, you are right... I skip over how to get Hyper-V installed/enabled on your machine and how to build out the basic VM's that I use as we walk through the overview episode. If you need a little bit (or a lot) of help getting through those steps, NO PROBLEM AT ALL... my direct e-mail is: adam@itpro.tv
Just be in touch and I will help you get all set to go... no worries...
Cheers,
Adam

Thank you, Adam, for the response and willingness to help me. I was able to find an article from Microsoft that listed some minimum hardware requirements for setting up lab machines for SCCM so I should be good to go (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/configmgr/core/plan-design/configs/recommended-hardware). Unfortunately I can't use Hyper-V, as Stefan mentioned above, as I have Windows 10 - Home on my laptop but I was able to get Oracle VM VirtualBox installed and working so I think I will be able to continue on following your instructions in the videos.
Thanks again for writing back to me personally. I really enjoy your teaching style and enjoy watching your videos on ITPro.tv. As much as I like the others who usually work with you on the videos, I look forward to this new style of teaching with you working alone with us.

I am glad that you seem to have a workable solution. Virtual Box will be great, and do everything that you need to be able to get the lab up and running.
If you run into any issues getting the VM's setup and configured, just let me know, I will be happy to help you get past any sticky spots.
I am happy that the new format seems to be working out for you, and that you are finding it to be interesting.
If you have any feedback about the format, or any suggestions about additional things that you would like to see, or that would enhance the look/feel and learning ability as you go through the show, please let me know.
We are actively developing this new approach, and are looking to make it as valuable as we can for our members.
Cheers,
Adam
