Can someone tell me what a Head Nod is?
Without context here, I'm not sure. my guess is that you mean a Head NODE?!
This "node" is not exactly part of the working cluster as much as it is how you access the cluster from outside of it. For example, this is the node to use if you're asked to login access a cluster for management and monitoring of the cluster itself.
Other's may have a more detailed answer for you here...unless you mean a real "head nod." This is simply using your head to just an agreement to something or acknowledgement of your presence. It could indicate a welcome to you to be involved.
What is a Hyper Thread?
Without getting super technical, it is when a CPU can divide up the workload to be handled by it at the same time. Traditionally, CPUs could only process a workload serially (one after another), with HT, the CPU has two "logical cores" which means that you can divide that workload to be handled by both "logical cores" in parallel (at the same time).
I'm sure someone else here could offer a better explanation.
What are Clusters?
Clusters are essentially multiple "anything" working as if it's one. Typically, you can cluster multiple computers together, that though they are separate, all things pertaining to them work as one. This offers fault-tolerance and performance. One machine failing doesn't stop the rest of the machines clustered from working. Also, an application can take advantage of all the resources of the clustered machines.
