MD-100 Update?

Hello!

I have been grinding on the MD-100 video course. During a check on the Microsoft certification site, I find that the test is being updated next week. (Seriously, how does M$ expect us to train & study for a constantly changing test?)

Will there be an update to the current episodes? Skimming through the updated objectives, it looks like the biggest changes are to the Maintain Windows module, adding a "Configure Remote Connectivity" objective:

Configure remote connectivity
manage Windows 10 remotely by using Windows Admin Center
configure remote assistance tools including Remote Assist and Quick Assist
manage Windows remotely by using Windows Remote Management and PS remoting
configure remote desktop access

I sometimes wonder how to keep up as well. It seems like we just finished recording the series, and then Microsoft updates the objectives. Not just one exam, but all of them!!

Our current process for dealing with the constant changes is determined by the extent of the changes. If there aren't that many changes, or if they primarily add objectives, then we will shoot additional episodes and add them to the existing course. If the changes are major, then we will just shoot the entire series over again.

Our goal is to make sure you have the most current training available.

At first glance, I think we can just add some episodes to cover the newly added objectives. Much of the other changes are rearranged objectives, and removal of some topics, like MDT and migrating user data. The issue with them rearranging of objectives is that it becomes hard to map which video covers which objective.

We will look at adding episodes for the new objectives as soon as we can. In the mean time, if you have any questions about anything, including the new objectives, ask them here or email me directly at mike@itpro.tv.
