I am working on getting my CHFI. I will be getting my pen+ ceh Security+ on my way forward. But my question is how much networking do I really need to know to work as a CHFI? I have nothing against networking but with all the CTF I have watched I noticed networking has not come up a lot. Thank you for your time and help on this matter and look forward to your response.

Web Application and Webserver Attacks
Email Crimes
Network Attacks
Forensics and Mobile Devices

CompTIA recommends (but does not require) a Security+ exam candidate already have Network+ under their belt prior to studying for that exam.
Moving into PenTest+ CompTIA recommends (but does not require):
We can see from these examples that networking is very important in becoming a security professional. I look forward to other Edutainers chiming in. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
