Many times I have heard the Edutainers talking about using github as a portfolio to show employers about your skills. I have a home lab with 2 cisco switches and 2 cisco routers as well. My Network is segmented accordantly. In Vlan 10 runs my servers. Vlan 20 Workstations Vlan 30 WIFI and 40 is just my home local that would be like a DMZ and is not in the routing table since I just needed the extra ports. Also 2 Virtual Machines with Windows Servers 2019 with Raid 1 and the file server Raid 1 and Raid 5 for data. FYI my C2900 is also doing Pat and OSPF. How can I place all that information in Github to show my progress? Just Copy their config files? What about the VMs? Also I do have a github account because I'm a college student and was required. How can I organize all that information to look presentable? PS I'm also watching Security+ here in ITproTV.

How to use Github more efficiently

You could use it store documentation of your project...but probably not all your VMs. Probably before you do that, you may may to take a look at getting started with GitHub here.
