Trying to download Centos

Hey guys I'm going through the Linux essentials course and I. Trying to download Centos and in the video tutorial it looks nothing like it does on the centos.org page can some one please send me a link and possibly a tutorial of where and how I can download Centos on to a victuals machine now ! Thanks you guys rock !

@Cassandra-Turner , I hope all is well. You are in the right place....

First, you will need to click on the X86_64 link (upper left) under architectures.

Next, it will take you to a page like the one screen shot below, and you can click on ANY of the links in the first block at top of page to start the download. I have clicked on the 1st link at the top of the list for reference.

Then, you will be taken to another screen, as shown in the picture below,,, You will need to choose which ISO to download and then click on that link.

I would suggest the 5th item down from the top of the list, which is the CentOS-7-x86_64-Everything-2009.iso The size is 9.5G

Finally, the download should start, and you will see an indicator of it running in the upper left-hand side of your web browser, as shown in picture below. Once the download is finished, which may take a bit depending on your bandwidth, you can access the ISO file from your downloads directory on your computer.

Here is the downloads folder on my laptop as the CentOS download is running. The file at the top of the list that says Unconfirmed.... is the ISO download as it is happening, prior to it finishing.

@Cassandra-Turner another thing to consider is that CentOS 7 is the last of the traditional CentOS distributions. Moving forward it will be known as CentOS stream and will be closer to the bleeding edge of features (more like Fedora), however, if you would like to download a distribution that allows you to continue to use the RHEL-like features in CentOS, then I would recommend moving over to Alma Linux.
