Hello I am thinking about buying an apple MacBook Air, does it matter if I get Big Sur or Monterray for the A+ certification classes?

For the CompTIA A+ certification. The version of the macOS is probably not as essential.
Usually, they're looking to introducing you the fact that you may encounter macOS in a workplace environment.
