Hey guys!
I decided to take the SY0-401 exam before my CEH, I figured it wouldn't look bad on the application. I passed!
Thanks for the Security+ material. It was wonderful training.

Hey Ronnie!
Let me find some time and I will write something up for you!
I passed the SYo-301 301 test last year, just from watching ITProtv. I did not have a IT background and was in mid career change due to a layoff. I believe I passed due to the interaction between instructors, The shows were not boring lectures though covered every aspect of exam. I am now a security analyst, thanks to ITProtv.
That is awesome and thank you for sharing. I think that testimonies like yours and @Scott really encourage other ITProTV members to succeed!

If Security+ is your next certification, I strongly recommend ITPro.TV.
I gave myself about 45 days to study. I started by watching an episode (sometimes 2, to be fair) a day... paying close attention to the objectives covered. I took notes, and by the end of it, I went back and copied my notes into a format I could study in. This gave me exposure to the material 3 times.
Please, PLEASE take advantage of the MeasureUP Exams provided to subscribers. I cannot stress to you how much this helped me. MeasureUP exams give you a general idea of what the test will be like. The performance questions give you an excellent idea on the format that CompTIA uses in its tests for performance-based questions. I consider MeasureUP slightly harder than the actual exam, so if you do well on those (90%ish), I would say you're close to ready.
Also, I did get a great deal where I got CompTIA's CertMaster along with the Voucher+Retake. While it isn't an all-inclusive test prep service on its own, it makes an excellent companion to the episodes provided by ITpro. I strongly recommend you go out, and see what's happening in the industry as well. Exposure to the material is key! I don't want to step on any toes. I did buy a book, a set of study notes separate from mine, and a rather useful Android App. I would be happy to share the specifics of what I purchased, with permission!
Thanks for letting us know how you were successful on the exam! This will be of great help to others who are wondering how to do the same thing you did!
