Just several quick remarks:
- While PC manufacturers can color the ports on their pc hardware or leave them all black, they cannot really make them any color they want - virtually all system and component manufacturers currently follow the PC System Design Guide 2001 See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PC_System_Design_Guide#PC_2001
- The audio connector(s) shown are known as mini-phone connectors (3.5mm or 1/8") and phone connectors (1/4"); as they were originally developed for use in Telephone switchboards. Further the monaural phone connector is known as a TS (phone) connector (short for Tip Sleeve), and the stereo phone connector as TRS (phone) connector (short for Tip Ring Sleeve); the four conductor phone connector is known as a TRRS (phone) connector (short for Tip Ring Ring Sleeve); and is generally used in notebooks to allow for a monaural audio input, and stereo audio output in a single jack, as opposed to two separate jacks.

- Cisco does offer a usb console cable, eliminating the need for a usb to serial converter cable to connect an older style serial console cable.
- Also RJ45 is an informal designation for the 8P8C connector used in Ethernet Cabling (wired to EIA/TIA-568A or EIA/TIA-568B Standards) and is in fact completely different than the true RJ45/RJ45S standard, See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modular_connector#8P8C, and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Registered_jack#Registered_jack_types
